Ed Lequire, the Rochester chiropractor who runs Inner Strength Chiropractic, is going high-tech to help people take control of their weight.
With partner Linda Parker, he is bringing in a machine that uses lasers to break down client's fat to be used as energy or be eliminated through the body's lymphatic system.
This is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure.
Parker will run Synergy Fat Loss, which should open in early August at 2625 U.S. 14 West, near the Janet Lange Dance Studio.
While this is a process that will show immediate results, do not think of it as a "quick fix" for people dealing with weight issues.

"We want to really help people to make a true lifestyle change," he says.
In addition to the three laser sessions a week for a three-week period, Synergy's personal trainer will also help clients create exercise plans to fit their lives as well as healthy eating programs.
Synergy's center will include an exercise studio space for fitness classes and workout equipment to be used in conjunction with the laser treatments.
LeQuire's says only about 16 of these Lapex 2000 machine are in use in the U.S. so far. This is the first one in Minnesota.
Why launch this center?
"There is obviously a need," he says. "We want to really assist people to make major lifestyle changes for the better."
