There are good people in Rochester. On Aug. 4, at about 2 p.m., I witnessed a beautiful kindness at Walmart South while waiting in a check-out line.
At the register, an elderly man seemed to be having difficulty locating his credit card, and even the check he wrote didn't seem acceptable, probably since he couldn't find his driver's license.
The next customer waiting to check out watched for about a minute or two and then he pulled out his own credit card and offered it to the cashier. The man wanted to pay the good Samaritan, but the Samaritan refused to even give the man his name. He just said it could have been his own father in that situation.
This kind man is an angel among us, and God smiled on him in his kindness in helping a stranger in need.
