In Dave Colburn's June 17 letter, he states that animal park staff who killed a gorilla in order tto save a small boy that had wandered into its enclosure did the right thing. That part of the letter, I agree with.
However, I take issue with this contention that "there is no animal alive worth the price of human life."
Personally, if I had the power to do so, I would gladly replace every sleezy member of ISIS for a gorilla or any other organism on this planet that has been endangered because of our own species' overinflated sense of self importance.
