Hello, My name is Onika Nicole Craven.

Since the death of George Floyd I have started a non-profit organization in Minneapolis named O’nika’s Angels.

We have started collecting donations and with the funds that we received we started shopping for supplies and goods and donating them to different locations and sites throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Members of O’nika’s Angels have several friends and family members who live in the Rochester area. And they have wondered how they could help with the rebuilding and support of the people in the community affected by the riots and looting from a few weeks ago. They just weren’t sure how they could help.

We decided to reach out to the members of Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester to see if they would host a supplies and goods donation drive on their campus.

The request was brought to the executive board, and Rev. Elizabeth Macaulay, lead pastor. The request was approved and the donation drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, at Christ United Methodist, 400 5th Ave. SW, Rochester, MN 55902.
