I see on Facebook the Post Bulletin announced that city council is ready for in-person comments from the public at council meetings beginning sometime in July.
What’s the purpose and what good will it do? The council doesn’t listen to anything people have to say. A couple of perfect examples are when they gave themselves a pay raise and when they approved the K-mart parking lot proposal even though the majority of residents objected. Even Mayor Norton got pushed out of that discussion and contemplated a veto because her nose was out of joint over it.
