It is time Minnesota got back to work. One way we can do that is to move forward with the Enbridge Line 3 Replacement Project.
The good news is that this project is starting to collect some of its final permits – just last week the DNR began issuing permits for the oil line project. It is likely that the remaining DNR and other permits will be granted soon and the project can begin construction.
While those of us in favor of the project would have preferred it to begin sooner, it is actually coming up at a time when it couldn’t be more impactful.
Line 3 is critical infrastructure that our state needs in a time of economic crisis. Minnesota still uses petroleum, and it will for many years to come.
We need reliable fuel in a state with such extreme weather, and petroleum is the answer. We need to stop any more needless delays and get construction going and rebuild Line 3.
