Concerning the Rochester Public Schools superintendent's Thanksgiving letter that he plagiarized. People decided it was plagiarized when they noticed it had multiple different font sizes and typefaces, indicating it must have been cut and pasted from multiple different documents. Any 7th-grader plagiarizing documents for a school essay has enough sense to recopy the document in their own handwriting or retype it in one font and typeface. Does he think he is above being criticized for plagiarizing, or in all his years of education, did none of his teachers or professors ever talk about how plagiarizing is wrong? This is a really good example for all the kids in public school. Things like this are only a small part of why my children, for most of their schooling, went to private school and my grandchildren in Rochester are also going to private school.
