At this time when there are efforts to disable the US Postal Service by the Trump administration to hamper mail-in voting, the Aug. 11 Post Bulletin reported the article "Olmsted County set to defend plan for Nov. 3 absentee ballot reviews." A lawsuit was filed by the Republican Party of Minnesota and its ally Minnesota Voters Alliance regarding the process of overseeing how questioned mail in ballots are accepted or rejected in Olmsted County, Ramsey County, Minneapolis and Duluth. This is a politically motivated effort to delay, disrupt or raise doubt about mail-in voting, which is another way to suppress the vote.
