I am very disturbed about the article featured in the Dec. 21 Post-Bulletin regarding the Mayo Clinic being charged with sending in claims for services never rendered.
I have been a patient and a fan of Mayo Clinic for more than 50 years, and worked for them at Methodist Hospital for 28 years. I deeply resent the implication that they did anything wrong or dishonest.
The article might have included the fact that Mayo registers almost a thousand patients a day from all over the world and keeps everything straight and right. This is a modern-day miracle.
