Military personnel should not have to worry about getting paid

As military mothers, we write this letter on behalf of our children who proudly and courageously serve this country.

During the recent budget debate they were told they would not be paid if the budget was not passed by midnight, April 8. This placed an undeserved burden of stress upon them. We respectfully ask our elected officials to fully consider the impact their actions have on the people who serve and protect this country.

Please do not use our sons and daughters as pawns in your political debates. They deserve better.
