Minimum wage increase is price fixing that would hurt economy

As I read about all of the supposedly wonderful benefits of raising the minimum wage, I can find no argument that could not also be made for raising the minimum wage to $100 per hour. And if there are reasons why $100 per hour makes no sense, I see no reason why those same reasons would not apply to $10 per hour, or any other arbitrary number.

The reality is that price fixing (whether a floor or ceiling) has serious impacts on the workings of the economy, and those impacts are never ideal. While I wish that everyone's labor would be worth $100 per hour, I would rather we give people the opportunity to acquire life and work experience rather than have them sit at home because an arbitrary minimum deems their efforts not worth having at all.
