Olmsted County is fortunate to have two qualified candidates for Olmsted County sheriff. I have known and worked with Sheriff Dave Mueller and Capt. Kevin Torgerson for several years. They are both people of excellent character who want to serve the people of this county. Only one can be sheriff, however.
Dave Mueller has the leadership skills best suited for this job. Dave has work very collaboratively with colleagues in the criminal justice and security communities. He has kept promises he made when elected four years ago when voters indicated they wanted a change. Dave has had the courage to make needed changes, even though they may not have been popular with his staff.
Despite the negative commentary about Dave's implementation of new programs and that he has not appointed a chief deputy, no one has questioned the quality of service provided by the sheriff's department. Dave has delivered, and he deserves another term.
Please vote for Sheriff Dave Mueller's re-election.
