New CEO @ People's Co-Op
Here's something rolled in Wednesday morning and I'm just getting around to dealing with it now.
People's Cooperative Services, the rural electricity people, has hired a new CEO to replace the retairing Frank Welter.
On June 1, Elaine Garry will take over. She is coming from South Dakota.

Garry is currently Director, Customer & Employee Relations at Sioux Valley Energy, Coleman, South Dakota. Prior to joining Sioux Valley Energy, she was a Transportation Planner/Engineer for the City of Sioux Falls.
Garry possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Industrial
Management (emphasis in Finance and Human Resources). Both degrees were granted by South
Dakota State University, Brookings, South Dakota.
Headquartered in Rochester, MN, People’s provides retail electricity to over 15,000 members in
Southeastern Minnesota. People’s service area includes parts of Olmsted, Dodge, Fillmore,
Mower, Wabasha and Winona Counties. People’s has provided low-cost, reliable electrical energy
and related services to its customers since 1936.
