Pay attention to the fine print during holiday shopping

I was shopping for a gift ($10 max). The large sign said two for $15. Perfect, $7.50 for one. But at the checkout I was charged $22.50. I was told I had to buy two.

Rather than holding up people lined up behind me while I decided on a second item, I paid the price.

I went back to check the sign. On the very bottom of the sign, in very small letters it said, "ticketed price for one." Legal? For sure. Intentional deception? Absolutely.

Shoppers beware.
