Requiring a photo ID and one other item proving one's address in order to obtain a library card is considered a reasonable request for the privilege of using this public facility.
You must show a photo ID to purchase and use an annual pass to the Rochester public golf courses. Requiring photo ID to gain employment is acceptable. Requiring a photo ID for someone wanting to drink alcoholic beverages is acceptable.
Requiring a photo ID does not have anything to do with one’s heritage — race, culture,
sex, etc.

I see nothing unreasonable about requiring a photo ID of all voters in the upcoming 2012 election or any future city, state or federal elections.
