I would like to respectfully respond to your March 18 editorial in which you complained because Rep. Greg Davids supported limiting tax money to some of Rochester's projects. Remember, please, Rep. Davids was elected to try to reduce the Minnesota budget deficit. He is doing what he was elected to do.
I do not call trying to stop increased taxes on the everyday essentials of the working man or woman in Rochester or increased taxes on Rochester business owners "micromanaging" in local government affairs.
I thank Rep. Davids and the House Property and Tax Division in St. Paul for facing the truth about Minnesota's budget deficit.
