Roch., Mayo Clinic building boom rolling on

While things still are a shadow of the 'Good Ol' Days,' commercial construction in Rochester is heating up as the temperature drops.

I know I've said this a few times lately, but it still seems pretty interesting.

Lots of projects are in motion or about to be.

• Buffalo Wild Wings South

• Lourdes High School

• McDonalds re-builds

• 2 buildings by 19th St. Financial Center

• Office building by Olmsted National Bank

• The proposed Gerrard/ Good Food Store development

• $2 million remodel/renovation work on Courtyard By Marriott and Staybridge Suites hotels

Plus I'm writing an update on a Madonna Towers extensive expansion/remodeling that tallies up to more than $5 million

Of course, Mayo Clinic has a lot of high profile new buildings going up as well as remodeling projects - large and small - underway in most of its facilities.

• The proton beam therapy center

• The massive data center

• The $4.5 million remodel on 10th Floor of Mayo Building

• New warehouse

Mayo Clinic also has a $2.7 million project lanuching in the Domitilla Building at St. Marys Hospital.

And on a much smaller scale, it is re-roofing and siding its former funeral home turned into office space at 428 Third Ave. S.W.
