With all the talk about what Rochester could do to be a visitor-friendly city, we should utilize the resources already present.
It only seems logical that Rochester should house the largest medical science museum in the country, with hands-on experiences and educational opportunities. Rochester also has a very nice planetarium, that isn't visible to our community, which could be expanded on.
There are lots of great parks and pools, but how about a large water park, indoor/outdoor to accommodate all seasons? Making it accessible as possible to those in wheelchairs would really open things up.
Visitors are not the only ones that would be utilizing these facilities. Rochester needs more for the locals as well. Keeping in mind that we do have a period of time each year when being outside isn't ideal, having indoor options would be nice.
