The Star Tribune reported today about a suicide at a "state mental hospital in Rochester," without identifying the hospital by name. Turns out it's a rarely reported-on facility called the Community Behavioral Health Hospital, a 16-bed psychiatric hospital. The address is 251 Wood Lake Drive SE, adjacent to Zumbro Valley Health Center at 343 35th St. SE.
According to the state info on this, "State Operated Services operates several CBHHs , which are 16-bed psychiatric hospitals. These hospitals provide acute psychiatric inpatient care for adults. These hospitals are located in Alexandria, Annandale, Baxter, Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Rochester and St. Peter. There are also two specialized State Operated Services facilities in Wadena and Willmar."
We're doing more reporting; here's the Star Tribune story .
