Runaway copiers at Biz After Hours

It was an interesting Business After Hours event at Marco (formerly Venture Computer ) Tuesday night.

I was only able to make it for the last 45 minutes or so, but I still picked up plenty of interesting business tips to check out.

One of the unusual features of this Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce was a copy machine doing doughnuts in the parking lot.

Actually, the technical gurus at Marco had gutted a copier and turned it into a car/ parade float. Jan Hoag of Marco said it had fooled some people, who chased after the runaway copier in the parking lot.

Brianna Weller of Marco piloted the office-machine-turned-race-car most of the time.

After the crowd thinned out and Marco started packing things up, Hoag took a few people inside the cavernous Marco garage to check the pimped-out copier out up close.

Sara Pennington of CWS even tried out the driver's seat and the air horn.

As I was ready to pull out, I noticed Weller loading up a co-worker into the copier for test drive, after a long day of rolling around the parking lot.

I video-taped the resulting run as well as a minor equipment malfunction.
