Can anyone possibly vote against the half-cent sales tax extension with the possibility of it providing the seed money for a vo-tech facility here? This is such a critical need, not only for Rochester, but everywhere.
There are good, well-paying jobs available, but not enough young people with the skills needed to perform those jobs. In recent years, our schools have been geared toward preparing students to attend college, but not everyone has the interest or the ability to do so.
Vo-tech education is the link that has been missing for too long.
