I am concerned about an insidious trend that is happening and wonder if others are aware of it.
Unions were started in this country to give workers rights with their employers and to bargain for them.
Minnesota is becoming a forced unionism state as far as public service jobs. Policemen and firefighters come to mind.
Hence, to have one of these jobs you must belong to the union. The union is in bed with the Democrats, and so you pay into the Democratic Party whether you want to or not. The end result is you must be a Democratic supporter to hold one of these jobs.
Unions are not supposed to be political parties.
