The Rochester School Board is considering a proposal to create a choice school/neighborhood school hybrid at Bamber Valley Elementary School using the Core Knowledge curriculum for students in the choice school program. The district has seen success with the choice school concept, but the question about the effectiveness of a curriculum change alone remains.
What's your take? Should the school board use the Core Knowledge curriculum in every classroom at Bamber Valley without turning it into a choice school in an effort to test its effectiveness?
