The Pine Island boys track-and-field team will compete in the state True Team meet for the 11th time in the last 12 years on Saturday in Stillwater.
Both the boys and girls Section 1A True Team meets were incredibly close. LFCMC emerged the boys winner and GMLOKS the girls.
The Hamline Elite Meet saw some big performances from Rochester-area athletes on Friday.

Hayfield rode its stellar defense and big scoring games from Aine Stasko, Kristen Watson and Natalie Beaver en route to beating Grand Meadow 65-41 in the Section 1A girls basketball championship game.
