Rev. Edwin W. Eifert, 85, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011.
He served parishes in Sebeka and Vergas, Minn., Garden City, Kan., Ortonville and Bloomington, Minn.
Preceded in death by parents, Rev. Walter and Katherine Eifert, wife, Harriet (Hohman) Eifert, brother, Donald and sister, Laura Crawford.
Survived by wife, Diane (Soeldner) Eifert; sons, David (Bonnie), Paul (Jody) and John (Becky); daughter, Karen (Lane) Nordquist; stepsons, Kurt (Lisa), Jeffrey (Cindy) and Ronald (Deanna) Soeldner; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 9201 Normandale Boulevard in Bloomington.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church, and also one hour prior to service on Thursday at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, or the Pastor and Mrs. Edwin Eifert Scholarship Endowment Fund at Concordia University, St. Paul, MN.
Interment Dawn Valley Memorial Park in Bloomington.
