Scott Brian Grabau, 50, of South St. Paul, formerly of Wykoff, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul after a long battle with depression.

Scott was born May 15, 1960, in Rochester. He was adopted by Ruth and Reuben Grabau in September of 1961. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wykoff. He attended St. John’s Lutheran School and was a 1978 graduate of Wykoff High School.

Scott spent much of his free time playing softball and golf. He was also a hunter and most of all loved fishing.

He is survived by a daughter, Carlie Converse of North St. Paul; a son, Garrett Tuedt of Richfield; his mother, Ruth Grabau of Spring Valley; sisters, Marianne Brown of Greenfield, Calif., and Darla (Richard Jr.) Oeltjen of Cave Creek, Ariz.; niece, Miranda Oeltjen of Cave Creek; nephew, Seth Oeltjen of Cave Creek; and great-niece and great-nephew, Adaeze and Adin Oeltjen, both of Cave Creek. He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wykoff, with the Rev. Peter J. Sestak officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of service.
