FARIBAULT — Rochester John Marshall couldn't do it a second time.
JM had beaten Faribault earlier in the season, for its only win so far. The Falcons turned the tables on JM this time, holding off the Rockets in a high-scoring affair, 83-70.
It was the most points JM had scored this season.
Though it was a loss for the Rockets (1-10 Big Nine, 1-14 overall), JM coach Richard Cain liked much of what he saw from his team, especially early.
"I thought we played a really good first 27 minutes of basketball," said Cain, whose team was led by Ryan Rushton's season-high 22 points. "But I thought the pressure got to us in the end."

Besides Rushton's 22, the Rockets got 12 points from Mitchell Johnson and 10 from John Mattison.
Cain liked what he got from Rushton.
"He played with more tenacity tonight and took the ball to the basket," he said.
Faribault (4-6, 5-12) was paced by star Michael Emge's 33 points.
