HIAWATHA VALLEY LEAGUE

Owen Peterson had 15 points and six rebounds and three other Cobras were in double figures as host Triton nipped Lake City 62-60. Hunter Lorenson led Lake City with 19 points while Justin Wohlers had 16 points and nine rebounds.

• Goodhue held off Lourdes 57-55 thanks to 19 points from Will Opsahl, 16 points from Dayne Wojcik and 13 from Adam Poncelet. Peyton Dunham and Luke Bigler both scored 15 points for Lourdes in the losing effort.

Reid Johnson (21 points) and Cole Johnson (16 points) sparked Chatfield as the Gophers topped Fillmore Central 75-45 win. Zach Haugerud scored 17 points for Fillmore Central.

Carter Todd tallied 20 points and Parker McQuin chipped in with 14 as La Crescent turned back Wabasha-Kellogg 65-38.

Tyler Johnson poured in 17 while Elvis Pena (13 points) and Bobby Mason (10 points) were productive in Dover-Eyota’s 71-55 victory over Cotter. Payton Weifenbech had 15 and Connor Yocum had 14 for Cotter.

NON-CONFERENCE

Jake Braaten poured in 32 points and Ahjany Lee added 23 as Byron rolled past St. Peter 91-59.

Laden Nerison collected 20 points as Kenyon-Wanamingo slipped past Blooming Prairie 56-49. Drew Kittelson led Blooming Prairie with 19 points.

SOUTHEAST CONFERENCE

Buay Koak and Cole Walter both tallied 19 points as Lyle/Pacelli posted a nice 69-46 win over Grand Meadow. Colt Landers had 19 points for the Superlarks.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

THREE RIVERS CONFERENCE

• Caledonia climbed out of a seven-point halftime deficit to beat St. Charles 57-55. Ava Privet scored 21 points and Alexis Schroeder added 14 in the victory. The Saints were led by Lindsey Root’s 17 points.

Kylie Verthein delivered a huge 14-point, 14-rebound performance in Lewiston-Altura’s 50-42 win over Rushford-Peterson. Kaylee Ruberg had 19 for R-P.

Jaiden Zimmerman and Kara Goetzinger combined for 28 points in Chatfield’s 61-45 victory over Fillmore Central. Madison Krage scored nine in a losing effort.

Allyssa Williams hit a game-winning 3-pointer with 2.2 seconds remaining as Cotter downed Dover-Eyota 57-54. Olivia Gardner had 18 points and Sofia Sandcork 16 for the Ramblers, who have won six straight. D-E had its five-game winning streak broken up. Kylie Lacey had 18 points for the Eagles and Malia Nelson 17.

SOUTHEAST CONFERENCE

Kate Friese scored 13 points and Thea Bothun added nine, but it wasn't enough as Schaeffer Academy fell to unbeaten Houston 75-24. Emma Geiwitz scored a game-high 27 points while Sydney Torgerson chipped in 16.

Kaci Ruen (19 points) and Jessie Schreiber (15 points) were too much as Lanesboro overwhelmed Spring Grove 53-38. Spring Grove’s Jordan Leahy scored 10 points.

Megan Erickson scored 18 points while Paige Ford and Morgyn Ott also reached double figures in Randolph’s 51-26 win over Mabel-Canton.

River Landers, Sydney Cotten and Lexy Foster all cracked double figures in Grand Meadow’s big 68-36 win over Lyle/Pacelli.

BOYS HOCKEY

BIG NINE CONFERENCE

Carson Arthur made 22 saves, while Sam Hanson and Sam King both scored two goals and had one assist in John Marshall’s 7-1 win against Austin. Jake Schmidt, Ryan Hus and Charlie Desrosiers had a goal and an assist each for JM, which won for the first time this season.

Conor Cozik made 24 saves and Jonah Ottman scored a game-tying goal, but Mankato West pulled away from Century for a 4-1 win in Mankato.

Dixon Ehlers made 45 saves, but Red Wing struggled to contain Northfield’s high-powered offense in a 7-0 loss. Carson VanZuilen led Northfield with a hat trick and two assists.

GIRLS HOCKEY

BIG NINE CONFERENCE

Cassidy Arendt and Milla Sadowy scored two goals each as Rochester Mayo beat Winona for the second time in five days, 6-1, at Winona. Alivia Haakenson made 16 saves in the win, and Devynn Priest and Elizabeth Arendt added two assists each. Andrea Augeson and Luella Bianco scored one goal each for Mayo.

NON-CONFERENCE

Eliza DiNatale scored twice and Sky Hughes made 25 saves as Dodge County beat Lourdes 5-2. Maggie Hanzel scored both of Lourdes’ goals and Ida Huber made 44 saves. Lyndi Schubert added a goal and an assist for Dodge County.

BOYS SWIMMING/DIVING

BIG NINE CONFERENCE

Owen Nord (100 freestyle) and Jackson Homme (50 freestyle) each won an individual event and were part of two winning relays as Century defeated Austin 98-85. Logan Kelly set a school record with a time of 1:43.70 in the 200 freestyle for Austin. He also won the 100 breaststroke and was on a winning relay. Winton Walkup (200 IM, 100 backstroke) also won two events and was on a winning relay for the Packers.

Brayden Coudron won a pair of individual events (200 freestyle, 400 freestyle) and was on two winning relays as Winona defeated John Marshall 95-73. Marcus Nguyen won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly for the Rockets.
