Nolan Klocke pitched five innings of no-hit ball, then Cael Becker allowed no hits over his one inning pitched. It added up to an easy 11-1 five-inning win for Hayfield over Triton. Ethan Slaathaug and Isaac Watson each had two hits.


Conner Schumacher pitched six scoreless innings to pace Plainview-Elgin-Millville to a 4-3 win over Caledonia. Schumacher also had two hits, as did Brock Martinez and Jason Fells. It was Caledonia’s season-opener.

Dustin Zillmer scattered six hits and pitched a complete game to lead St. Charles to its first win of the season, 9-2 over Rushford-Peterson. Harper Schaber went 2-3, including a two-run home run. The Saints are now 1-2.

Klayton Hawkins homered and had five RBIs in Wabasha-Kellogg’s 13-5 win over Fillmore Central/Lanesboro.

• Lewiston-Altura took advantage of seven Chatfield errors and beat the Gophers 8-5. Connor Ramthun had two hits and scored twice for L-A.


• Kenyon-Wanamingo got two hits apiece from Owen Hilke, Bray Olson and Luke Berg en route to beating Medford 15-5 in five innings.

Mason Bills went 3-for-3 and Ryan Steffes drove in three runs in La Crescent’s 7-6 victory over Dover-Eyota. The Eagles scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning but the comeback rally came up just short. Brock Hughes, Maverick Sobczak, Gavin Gust and Karsen Behnken all had two hits for D-E.



• Wabasha-Kellogg scored the winning run in the seventh inning as it beat Fillmore Central/Lanesboro 4-3. Julie Schmoker worked six innings and allowed one run and struck out seven for W-K. Elizabeth Lineweaver had a pair of doubles for the Falcons.

• La Crescent’s Toby Ernster hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Lancers beat Dover-Eyota 10-9. Kelsey Kiesau went 4-for-4 with two doubles for La Crescent. Dustiny Mullen had three hits, two of them doubles. D-E’s Kegan Couilon had two hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs.

• Plainview-Elgin-Millville jumped out to a 7-0 lead and held off a big Caledonia comeback for a 7-5 victory. Caledonia's Teagan Lange had three hits.


Megan Erickson went 4-for-4, with two home runs and two doubles in Randolph’s 30-0 win over Schaeffer Academy.

McKenna Freerksen had three hits, including a home run, in Triton’s 18-8 six-inning win over Medford.

Bobbie Bruns went 4-for-4 with a triple and a home run in Blooming Prairie's 11-5 victory over St. Clair. Bruns scored three runs, stole two bases and drove in four. Allison Krohnberg picked up the win, allowing just three earned runs and striking out nine in seven innings.



• La Crescent's Owen Davison fired a 34 while Ryan Nutter (40) and Carson Reider (44) were also terrific, leading the Lancers to a big 50-stroke victory over Fillmore Central. Jake Fishbaugher finished with a 42 for Fillmore Central.

• Stewartville's Cole Jannsen shot a 76 to lead the Tigers to a big victory in the Stewartville Invitational. The Tigers finished with a team score of 319. John Marshall (337), Byron (352), Kasson-Mantorville (382) and Triton (424) rounded out the invite.



Chloe Morem shot a 44, Courtney Hershberger finished with a 45 and Marissa Topness added a 47 in Fillmore Central's big victory over La Crescent.



• Century’s Sarah Lindner helped her team to a first-place finish in the five-team Dean Bishop Invitational in Austin as she was first in the triple (34-feet-4), second in the long jump (17-2), and ran legs on Century’s winning 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams. Those were career bests for her in both jumps. Mayo’s Hannah Hanson won both hurdles events. She was clocked in 16.07 in the 100s and 49.09 in the 300s.

• Plainview-Elgin-Millville’s Alyx Doughty won the long jump (16-6 3/4) and the high jump (4-10) in a triangular in Millville. Stewartville’s Hailey Lewis won the 100 (13.91) and ran a leg on the Tigers’ winning 4x100 relay team. P-E-M’s Lauren Rott won the discus (99-4) and the 200 (29.55), while teammate Macy Holtz won both hurdles races.



• Century’s Isaiah Huber was first in the 200 (23.18), second in the 100 (11.21), won the long jump (20-feet-10) and ran the opening leg of Century’s winning 4x100 relay team in lifting the Panthers to a second-place finish in the six-team Dean Bishop Invitational in Austin. Mayo’s Demonte Simmons won the 100 (11.19). Century’s Silas Green had an impressive 1:58.56 time in winning the 800.

• Plainview-Elgin-Millville’s Kyler Bader won the 200 (23.62), the 400 (52.38) and the long jump (19-4 3/4) in a triangular meet in Millville. He also ran a leg on the Bulldogs’ winning 4x200 relay team.
