If you think the Johannson name stands out in the list of Rochester Quarterbacks Club hall of famers, you're right.
Among the four voted into the 2016 class is John Johannson. He follows his father Ken (1999) and brother Jim (2011). It's the first time three from one family are Quarterback Club hall of famers.
Three others will also be inducted into the 26th annual hall of fame during a banquet on April 18 at the Kahler Apache. They are Marv Peters, Bill Cutshall and Monica Schliep. Ted Kueker is the recipient of the 2016 Ben Sternberg Award, named after the longtime Rochester Quarterbacks Club president.
The bios for the incoming hall of famers couldn't be any more impressive.
John Johannson, a 1980 graduate of Mayo High, was not only a standout hockey player in high school, but he was even even better at the University of Wisconsin. He played on two Badger NCAA championship teams and set a NCAA record by playing in 171 games.

Peters, the athletic director at Lourdes, has been part of more state championships that any high school A.D. in Minnesota. Under his leadership the Eagles have won 43 state titles, 25 seconds, 15 thirds and 12 consolation championships.
Cutshall. a 1981 Mayo High graduate, is one of the best baseball players to ever come out of Rochester. His accomplishments include playing for a Rochester A's national championship team and pitching for a University of Minnesota Big Ten championship team.
Schliep, a 1982 graduate of Lourdes, was a runner extraordiniare. She won a pair of state titles in the two-mile run and added a state cross country championship. She was a member of three Lourdes state championship teams, including one in tennis.
Kueker is Mr. Public Address announcer. He began announcing John Marshall athletic events in the 1960s starting with wrestling and then basketball, track, hockey, volleyball and marching band performances. Along the way he also announced for district, regional and Rotary Tournament basketball.
The four new hall of fame inductees brings the total number to 105.
