Aase goes big, but Lady Devils fall

LA CROSSE, Wis. — Austin High graduate Rebekah Aase had arguably the best performance of her career Wednesday night against Western Wisconsin Tech.

But, when the final buzzer sounded, it wasn't enough.

The Lady Devils had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but their 3-pointer fell short, and they suffered a heart-breaking 70-67 setback to Western Wisconsin.

Aase was stellar throughout the game. She finished with a game-high 31 points to go with a whopping 15 rebounds.

Western Wisconsin Tech improved to 6-5 in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference's South Division.
