Alycia Courson * Dover-Eyota * Girls Basketball *

The 5-foot-9 senior forward set a single-game school record with her 38 points last Friday in Dover-Eyota's 83-38 win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville. Also had a career-high 14 rebounds in the game.

* Broke the previous single-game mark of 36 points which was held by Aimee Ihrke since 2008 and matched earlier this season by senior Desirae Lee.

* Made 15 of 25 shots from the field, including 5 of 6 from three-point range, and was 3-of-4 on free throws.

* Currently averaging 15.1 points per game and is closing in on 1,000 career points, with 928. Is shooting a remarkable 55.6 percent from three-point range this season.

* Brought up to the varsity team late in her freshman season, averaged 10.7 points as a sophomore, and 12.0 last year as a junior.

* "Probably the best thing to come from Friday's performance was her desire to rebound and play defense. She has always shown the ability to score and post up. If Alycia will play hard, she has the ability to play at the next level in college." — D-E coach Brian Harris.
