Althlete of the Week: Alycia Courson of Dover-Eyota

The 5-foot-9 senior forward set a single-game school record with her 38 points last Friday in Dover-Eyota's 83-38 win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville. Also had a career-high 14 rebounds in the game.

* Broke the previous single-game mark of 36 points which was held by Aimee Ihrke since 2008 and matched earlier this season by senior Desirae Lee.

* Made 15 of 25 shots from the field, including 5 of 6 from three-point range, and was 3-of-4 on free throws.

* Currently averaging 15.1 points per game and is closing in on 1,000 career points, with 928. Is shooting a remarkable 55.6 percent from three-point range this season.

* Brought up to the varsity team late in her freshman season, averaged 10.7 points as a sophomore, and 12.0 last year as a junior.
