Two 3D Archery shoots will be held this weekend, one Saturday at the Chatfield Fish and Game Club to honor Hunter Bergo, who died in late March in an ATV crash; the second will be Saturday and Sunday at the Byron Sportsmen and Conservation Club.

The Chatfield event, the Hunter Bergo Heart of Gold Memorial 3D Shoot, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the club southwest of Chatfield on Fillmore County Road 102.

Hunter loved the outdoors and archery, and the shoot is to honor his memory. The shoot might become an annual event. While the shoot is aimed more for youths, it's open to anyone.

Registration is $10 for adults, $5 for those 9 through 15 and free for those 8 and younger. Anyone registering has a chance to win a new Hoyt bow or a $100 gift card. There will be full concessions on the site.

To get to the club, go south of Chatfield on Fillmore County Road 5 to 102 and follow that for a mile.
