BOSTON — Several runners from southeast Minnesota are competing Monday in the 114th Boston Marathon.
The most famous marathon in the world starts in Hopkinton, Mass., and winds up in Boston.
The marathon is held annual on Patriot's Day. According to Runner's World Magazine, only four per cent of marathon finishers qualify for Boston. Some 25,000 runners are expected to start.
