A's edge Austin to close regular season

Brad Pastika's two-run double capped a four-run, seventh-inning rally for the Rochester A's on Saturday, in a 6-5 First District regular season-ending victory against Austin at Mayo Field.

The A's improved to 10-7 in district play with the victory and earned the No. 4 seed in the district playoffs. Their scheduled game Sunday against Owatonna was cancelled. They'll begin play Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Mayo Field against No. 5 Winona.

Austin led Saturday's game, 5-2, heading into the bottom of the seventh, but couldn't halt the A's rally.

Jordan Kangas led the A's on the mound, pitching four innings of relief to earn the victory. He allowed two runs on four hits, with five walks and two strikeouts. He was also 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI at the plate.

Pastika finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. John Meyer was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Josh Benson had two hits.
