The Rochester Amateur Sports Commission in conjunction with the American Softball Association is hosting the ASA Northern Nationals Fastpitch 14A Tournament in Rochester from Thursday through Sunday.
Opening ceremonies taking place at 6 p.m. at the UCR Regional Sports Center on Wednesday. Games will be played at McQuillan softball complex and the Rochester Youth Fastpitch softball complex (Hwy. 14 East & 36th Ave. SE).
Games are set to kick off at 9 a.m. Thursday and conclude with championship play on Sunday at 3 p.m. All games times are subject to change.
The tournament includes a field of 52 teams coming from nine different states. A local team, the Rochester Royals, will be competing. The Royals will open play at 11 a.m. Thursday at the RYFSA complex against the Elk Grove Heat-Red from Elk Grove Village, Ill.
