The Austin High girls basketball team is seeded fifth for the upcoming Class AAA, Section One tournament.
New Prague is the top-seeded team in the section and opens with a home game against eighth-seeded Faribault on Wednesday night.
The Austin Packers will travel to Winona on Wednesday to play the fourth-seeded Winhawks. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip-off. The winner of this game plays the winner of New Prague versus Faribault.
In the lower half of the brackets for Section 1AAA, it will be seventh-seeded Albert Lea at second-seeded Red Wing. Sixth-seeded Waseca travels to third-seeded Simley in the other game.
The semifinals for Section 1AAA will be Saturday night on the homecourts of the higher-seeded teams.
