OWATONNA — Austin came in a strong second in Saturday's Big Nine Conference girls gymnastics meet.
The Packers had 138.5 points, less than two behind champion Owatonna (140.4) and nearly three ahead of third-place Winona (135.775).
Individually, Carolyn Hackel led Austin by coming in fifth (34.9) in the all-around. She was fourth (9.275) in vaulting.
Also for the Packers, Selena Hataye and Abby Bickler came in 1-2 in floor exercise with scores of 9.475 and 9.375; Bickler was third in vault (9.3) and Hataye was fourth on uneven bars (8.525).
Next for Austin is the Section One, Class A meet next Saturday at Winona State University.
