SPRING VALLEY — Neil Eckhart has been close to victory at Deer Creek Speedway a couple of times this season.

Saturday, he didn't have time for "close."

Eckhart, a veteran Wissota Super Stock driver from Rochester, topped a strong 10-car field to win for the first time this season at Deer Creek. He had finished second once and fourth once this season, now giving him three top-four finishes in four starts at the track in 2016.

The victory, his second overall this year, boosts Eckhart into third place in the track points standings.

Cole Queensland of Grand Meadow won the USRA B-Modifieds feature to extend his points lead in the class to 20 over second-place driver Kylie Kath. Queensland was the only track points leader to win a feature on Saturday.
