NORTHFIELD — Rochester Lourdes made its offensive effort count on Tuesday.
Nine Eagles got on the scoresheet in a 7-3 boys hockey victory against Section 1A rival Northfield. Lourdes (1-2-0) scored on seven of its 19 shots.
"Offensively, we were good, defensively we weren't very good," Lourdes coach Josh Spaniol said. "We have to shore up our 'D' but we have some young guys back there who are still learning."
Tucker Chapman led the Eagles offense with two goals and two assists, while Montana Streit had a goal and two assists. Ryan Olney scored twice, Connor Fitzpatrick had two assists and Lars Anderson had a goal and an assist.
Jack Burkel made 21 saves in the victory. Spaniol said Burkel, forward Cody Cossette (one assist) and defenseman Mason Carstens all played strong games.

"Those three guys were consistent all night long," Spaniol said.
Lourdes plays host to New Prague at 7 p.m. Thursday at Graham Arena.

Leisen lifts Dodge County past Austin

AUSTIN — Nic Leisen's second goal of the game, with just 4:01 remaining, lifted Dodge County to a 4-3 non-conference boys hockey game at Riverside Arena on Tuesday.
Austin took a 3-2 lead into the third period, but the Wildcats wiped that out quickly.
Kylo Courteau scored just 36 seconds into the third to tie the score 3-3, setting the stage for Leisen's game winner.
Leisen's first goal came at 7:40 of the opening period, tying the score 1-1 after Austin's Sam Bennett scored on a power play at the 4:36 mark.
Brock Leisen gave Dodge County its first lead of the game 4:23 into the second, but Jace Greenman answered 35 seconds later for the Packers, and Nate Connor scored in the final minute of the period for the 3-2 Austin lead.
Sam Robinson and Kevin Claussen had two assists each for the Wildcats, while Nick Castellano had two assists for the Packers.
Austin held a 37-34 edge in shots on goal. Kris Kirsch made 34 saves for Dodge County, while Austin's Connor Poczos made 30 saves.
Austin (0-3-0) plays at Mankato West on Thursday. Dodge County (3-2-0) plays at Chaska on Saturday.
