Josh Carey took the loss for Century, tossing four innings and allowing three earned runs.
"It was a good game, 2-2 into the bottom of the fifth," JM coach Dutch Heiderscheit said. "Century played well, they just had a tough inning and those happen. Our pitchers did a nice job. And we had some good hitters and today they hit some hard balls."
Logan Saltou, Luke Johnson and Matthew Halverson had two hits apiece for JM. Andrew Schmidt, Brady Meyers and Zach Smith had two RBIs apiece.
Sam Hayward had a hit and an RBI for the Panthers.
JM returns to action at 5 p.m. Thursday at home against Austin, while Century hosts Mayo at 11 a.m. Saturday.
