Matt Broman was stellar on the mound as Rochester John Marshall pulled out a 10-inning 1-0 Big Nine Conference baseball win over Owatonna on Friday in Big Nine Conference action.
Broman allowed no hits and no runs, as he pitched the first nine innings. He walked three and struck out eight. Gavin Sandwick got the win, tossing the final frame. He permitted one hit, and struck out two.
"Matt Broman was exceptional today, throwing nine innings of no-hit baseball," JM coach Terry Heiderscheit said.
In the bottom if the 10th inning, Alex Brady hit a walk-off single, scoring Jack Kall from third base.
"Brady squared one up hard to left field," Heiderscheit said. "It was a fun game to be a part of."
