Henry Wittren homered and Nick Hanson pitched another strong outing as Rochester Lourdes beat Lake City 11-4 in a Hiawatha Valley League baseball game Friday night.
Lourdes scored five runs in the fourth inning to break open a close game. Lourdes improved to 11-3 overall and 6-2 in the HVL Gold Division.
Hanson allowed five hits and four earned runs in six innings to improve to 5-1. He helped his own cause at the plate going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs.
Wittren was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs, and Zach Hillman went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for the Eagles.
For Lake City (4-9, 3-6 in the HVL Blue), Elliot Cox was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, and Michael Noll was 2-for-2.
