Rochester Lourdes continued to make it tough for opponents to score runs in a doubleheader sweep over Hayfield Tuesday in Hiawatha Valley League baseball action.
Lourdes pitchers combined for 11 scoreless innings and beat Hayfield 3-0 and 11-0 in five innings in games at Hudson Field.
The second game was third straight shutout win for Lourdes which improved to 8-0 overall.
John Bigler picked up his third win of the season in the first game, allowed no runs over 4 1/3 innings. Daniel Burriss starred offensively, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
In the second game,Joe Jennings lasted three innings in his first start of the year giving and got his second win. Burriss tossed two scoreless innings in relief.

The Eagles had 13 hits in the nightcap, with two each from Jennings,Andrew Ellingson, Zach Hillman, Jason Samuelson and Adam Ellingson. Jennings, Samuelson, Adam Ellingson, and Andrew Stanek all had two RBIs.
Lourdes plays a doubleheader at Kasson-Mantorville on Tuesday.
