A two-run lead in the ninth inning was just not enough. Waterloo batted around against Rochester relievers Damon Rademacher and Garrett Kellogg-Clarke in the final frame and scored four runs to turn a 5-3 deficit into a 7-5 advantage.

Its the third win for Waterloo in a row and they have a 0.5-game lead in the Minnesota -- Iowa Pod.. The Honkers scored in five of the first six innings but couldn't put a crooked number up on the scoreboard. Taison Corio homered, singled and scored twice. Eight of the nine Rochester hitters managed at least one hit.

Honkers' starter Salvatore Ferro was in line for the win after twirling five innings of four-hit (three runs, two earned) ball. But the Waterloo lineup came alive against Rademacher in the ninth inning and Kellogg-Clarke couldn't slow the bleeding as the Honkers fell to 6-25.
