Owatonna 4, Century 1

OWATONNA -- Braydon Truelson pitched a two-hitter to lead Owatonna past Century 4-1 in Big Nine Conference play on Tuesday.

Century 2-9 on season, Owatonna 6-3. Tough one hitting tonight.

"We didn't get very many good swings and that's a credit to their pitcher," Century coach Todd Stellmaker said. "We need to make sure we're getting good swings in good, hitters' counts."

Truelson also scored a pair of runs for the Huskies (6-3).

Ben Ziebarth hit a solo home run in the first inning for Century.

"He also drilled a line drive to center that was caught on a diving catch," Stellmaker said.

Peyton Milene took the loss for Century. He allowed four earned run in five innings and struck out 10

"Peyton Milene is getting into a groove on the mound for us," Stellmaker said. "He had the most command tonight that he's had all season and it showed. It's just too bad we couldn't give him much help. Another positive was seeing Keith Rittenhouse on the mound again tonight. He has been recovering from an elbow injury from the summer which has kept him off the mound all spring until today. He had a nice scoreless inning."

Century plays a doubleheader against Northfield on Thursday.
