Lourdes 17, Pine Island 7

Cole Uhde's first-inning solo homer gave Pine Island an early 1-0 lead, and they held a 7-4 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning, but Lourdes erupted for 12 runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth for a 17-7, six-inning victory in the Section 1AA east subsection championship game.

Walks doomed Pine Island as they handed out 16 free passes. Lourdes scored 17 runs on seven hits.

Joe Sperry doubled and drove in three runs for Lourdes. Julio Roman went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Sam Stanley had two hits and three runs scored. Braden Mlenar picked up the win as Lourdes improved to 19-2.

Lourdes will play Plainview-Elgin-Millville on Tuesday at Alumni Field at John Adams Middle School in Rochester at 5 p.m.

Farmington 10, Mayo 1

Top-seeded Farmington advanced to the Section 1AAAA title game with a 10-1 win over Mayo. Caleb Beavers doubled and Mason Leimbek drove him in for the Spartans' lone run but Farmington cranked out 10 hits and a five-run fourth inning gave them all the separation needed.

Mayo 6, New Prague 5

Mayo will get a rematch with Farmington in the Section 1AAAA championship game after a wild 6-5 win over New Prague. Cayden Holcomb delivered the go-ahead sacrifice fly as Adam McPhail avoided the tag at the plate. McPhail finished with two runs scored and an RBI, and Adam Marshall singled, doubled and drove in a run. Brevin Goetz battled through six innings and allowed five earned runs. Kyle Prindle notched the save with a hitless seventh inning. Mayo will need to beat Farmington twice to win the Section 1AAAA title.

New Prague 9, Century 3

New Prague ran away from the Panthers late for a 9-3 win. Keith Rittenhouse hammered a solo home run in the second inning and Peyton Milene delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning, but New Prague scored six runs in the fourth inning. Century won 10 of 12 to close its season but finished 11-13.

"I'm proud of our guys and I'm proud of our seniors," Century coach Todd Stellmaker said. "It was a great four years with those guys. They'll be missed."
