The Royals had eight hits and several solid chances to score. Michael Michalak went 3-for-4 with two doubles while Sam Warren was 2-for-4 with a double. Jake Halverson also hit a double.
Nick Pearson and Will Weick also collected hits for the Royals, who have been shutout three times this season and twice in the past four games.
