Kevin Landrum picked up his first win as the Spartans' head coach. Mayo held off Northfield 68-58 thanks to hot shooting from Mo Hammadelniel (five 3-pointers, 19 points) and Michael Sharp (two 3-pointers, 15 points).

Mayo led 34-30 at the half and finished with nine 3-pointers as a team.

"It was nice to get a win on the home court today," Landrum said. "Northfield played hard on both ends and made things difficult for us. Our effort on both ends was encouraging."

Jaden Wysocki (14 points, five rebounds) and Noah Deedrick (14 points, 14 rebounds) were both outstanding in Century's 73-31 romp over Albert Lea.

Carter Poncelet added 12 points and RJ Sarr chipped in 10. The Panthers had seven players score at least six points.

"Our guys gave a really good effort on the defensive end of the floor tonight," Century coach Jake Vetter said. "Carter Poncelet, Jaecan Fratzke, and RJ Saar did a nice job of pressuring the ball which allowed us to get out and score in transition. Offensively, things are starting to come together as everyone is getting comfortable in their roles and understanding of what we are trying to do on that end of the floor."
