FARIBAULT — John Marshall had things come easily as it took on winless Faribault, the Rockets winning 63-38 in the Big Nine Conference game.

JM led 40-21 at halftime and was never remotely threatened.

“The girls played hard, played good defense and shot the ball well,” Rockets coach Phil Schroeder said. “It was good to get everyone in the game. This group continues to work hard and it was nice to see that pay off with a road win.”

The Rockets, who have won their last two games in a season that for them has been repeatedly inerrupted by COVID-19 pauses, moved to 5-5 in the conference and 6-5 overall. Faribault is 0-10, 0-11.

Junior star center Lilly Meister paced JM with 30 points. Katie Hurt added 14 points and Reese Clarey 11.
